Hollow
I consider you at moonlight
when shadows wash
blue on the porch
from my perch
I stare at the thin,
glassy wallthat separates us
I stare at the thin,
glassy wallthat separates us
from the animals
I breathe one
breath
at
a
time,
allow myself
this day’s regret –
that you weren’t in it.
That I have breathed all
breath
at
a
time,
allow myself
this day’s regret –
that you weren’t in it.
That I have breathed all
these breaths
alone.
……..

…
..
.
alone.

from my perch
