I can’t find my rhythm
I don’t want to hate poetry
but I can’t find my rhythm
every lone line drawn
at an uneven pacing
it makes me feel angry
frustrated and cursed
an imposter who just can’t
seem to make the words work

Thank you for the support, Kevin 🥰
I felt this so much! This has been me so often. Maybe worry less about the rhythm and more about the truth because you’ve got that locked down.
Thanks so much, Deanna 💜
Got to keep moving that pen! I find I lag a bit in mid lexpomo. You’re doing just fine!
Thank you for sharing that point of view, Sylvia, I appreciate it! 😊
I love the instinct to write toward the poem as a process: metapoetics at its finest!
Thank you, Shaun! It definitely was only through sheer determination to night miss a day that I scratched this one out 😅
Uneven pace is poetry!
Keep writing, keep reading aloud, keep sharing Friend!
Merci, Fanny! We miss you 💜 I appreciate the support 🥰
