if a stone could dream
a symphony of fireflies
the yard a mason jar
holes in the lid
and we could breathe
in the flashes
of lightning
await the thunder and
then breathe out
that earthy mix coming
after rain stones pulsing
with the blood of a god
we long to name

I love it!
your wonderful poems reverberate:
imagine if we, like fireflies, could pulse
with light?
Love the imagery!
You’ve captured what I like about a good thunderstorm!
Striking imagery along with the breathing in and out at the center of the poem.
I love all of this!
