IN THE CLOUD
There’s never enough storage
for what’s held dear
memory blurs
fails
a mother forgets names
her daughters her husband her own
lost
tick tock all gone
time hacked all strangers here

Wow! This is such a fitting analogy.
“There is never enough storage for what’s held dear”
“Time hacked”
Lost in the cloud…
I love this clever, beautiful, albeit sad, bit of poetry.
I believe it may even have a hopeful streak. Saying the memories are lost “in the cloud,” makes them almost, at some point, redeemable – in a way, beyond our knowing.
agree with Carrie “time hacked” is a suggestive metaphor
