JAYNE MANSFIELD DEFENSE LEAGUE
I invited you to join the Jayne Mansfield Defense League
First meeting downtown, a cafe
Saturday at 8 PM sharp
You admit you don’t know who she is I explain
Blonde bombshell and genius, but she crashed out way too soon
You say you like the way I talk
Go and on about things I know things about
And how the ones I love are always on my mind
You say that if I want, we can go back to your place and just hangout
Dunno why I trusted that would pan out

My kind of poem. Very musical and erudite. The last four lines in particular could also work as song lyrics, I think.
