June 1, 2018
As we begin this seventh LexPoMo,
we rev up pens and keypads, invite the muse,
and pledge to all a tempest of poetic energy.
Our words will shine through lines of image
and conceit, in sonnets, villanelles, haiku,
a fib or two, and free-verse free-for-alls.
We’ll shout and slam, proclaim, enjamb,
sing of love and death, of loneliness, frivolity,
one community sharing life in poetry.

Congratulations on 6 Lexpomos. This is my first and I’m loving it.
This made me so happy. I hope to see a villanelle or 10 this June for sure.
Fitting and exciting entry into this month of poetry!
Way to describe this community, Mary.
Cheers to sharing life!
Love, “a tempest of creative energy”. So hope the early energy brought on by the crisp new challenge of ’18 will last all 30 days. Your words as usual so clear, cutting through to the very truth of thought.
Bruce
You’ve captured the energy we all feel in rising to the challenge of LexPoMo!
Perfect!
This poem is as awesome and happy as you. Thanks for the joy.
