Let Us Think for Ourselves
In the natural world wildlife must think
and stay alert to survive. Maybe a lesson
from Mother Nature is long overdue.
Let us think for ourselves!
I have included one of my favorite quotes:
“Think for yourself or others will think for you without thinking of you.”
Henry David Thoreau

I like how your title acts as an invitation to collective action
Thank you, Gaby.
I agree with Gabby.
It’s almost ecumenical, with an eco poem twist.
It states and then with the quote.
perfect.
Los Santos son aqui.
Yes Coleman, the saints are here! Thank you.
Good advice, John! You know wildlife is not walking around staring at their phones.
Thank you, Sylvia, and so very true.
Brilliant.
Thank you, Virginia, your kind comment is appreciated.
Agree with others’ comments. Well done. But I must admit this verse beckons to a rabbit hole: What does it mean to think? What constitutes thought?
Mary, in my poem, I’m talking about an individual idea or concept that one has created in their own mind. Today, there seems to be too many rubber stamps and not enough critical thinkers.
Brilliant! Yessss to the title!
Thank you, Pam. Much appreciated.
I love this! Beautiful sounds— and its rhythm, with a cadence of urgency, delivers an impactful reflection.
Thank you, Michele. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
