Like it is, it does
So beautiful
and quiet–
like it
never is;
clematis
more purple
than it
ever was.
I adore you
forever–
like I
never did;
I withdraw–
cause love kills,
like it
always does.

Not a bad poem, Mary–the grammatical “like…like…like” structure, the zig zag climbing appearance on the page, the metaphor.
Surrender Us! Surrenderous.
This works!
Thank you. A rough draft in a month full of pressure (and hopefully some worthwhile results) ;*)
Good poem. Enjoyed reading. Line arrangement is appealing to the eye and thus the ear.
