Lost Spark
Glowing, even in darkness,
Internally infinite,
So, conceivable logic
Declares it cannot be gone…
Right?
But, tell me, can it be lost?
Or was it simply borrowed?
Adapting to the habits;
Incessant dispense of self….
Or is the shadow too big,
Despite trying to be small?
Or from the suffocation
That comes with Deprecation…
****** COMPLETELY UNFINISHED*****

I appreciate the questions in this one. The note about being unfinished actually makes the poem feel like smoldering embers.
Ah! Well, thank you. I like that perspective. I had a “vision” but seemed to somewhat veer away from it and got overly focused elsewhere. Lol. I appreciate your feedback! 🙂
I’m with H.A. I love the following inquiries.
‘But, tell me, can it be lost?
Or was it simply borrowed?’
