Once communication is established, the two parties can type
simultaneously, in separate regions.

When exchange cannot be supported,
report an error describing the deficiency.
The following environment variables shall affect the talk:

The talk was considered to be a “better” communications interface.
All references to networking abilities were removed as being outside the scope of this volume
Historical talk terminate the conversations
when either user breaks out of the session.

This erasure poem in the passive voice makes me wonder who the agent is.
Anything tech related is beyond me, but you shape that language into poetry and thus shape its meaning. I’d be interested to know how this got your attention in the first place.
Good point about not being required to communicate.
