Today, I ventured into Dragon cave

named for its petrified guest.
Native American said
the crystals may bestow their egg.
I slink in with flashlight
admire the geodes and stalagmites.
Picked the litter from the floor,
styrofoam KFC colonel winking at my soul.
Pray to nature, apologize for the heathens
dumping waste where Mother Earth’s teaches.
Turned around and by Her ceiling
petrified egg in wait for me as divine scrying.
