Our Response
Peter, Paul, & Mary sang, “The answer
my friend is blowin’ in the wind.”
But we never really see the wind.
We see its effects: trees moving,
dust & dirt flying through the air.
Likewise, we never see love,
only the results: a meal served
at a homeless shelter, a visit
to someone who is lonely.
When you’ve done it unto one
of the least of these, you’ve done
it unto Me.

Great poem, we should focus more on our responses.
True. Thank you!
“Whatsoever you do to the least of my people
That you do unto me.” Did you sing this in grade school?
i’m not familiar with it, but would love to find the music. Thanks!
The comparison of love with the wind is so revealing of things unseen. A masterpiece!
Thank you!
