Seasoning: Tiny Tastes of Time
In a wink, spring magics
Endless bouquets of flowers
From plain brown sleeves.
Summer vibrates warmth,
Stretches luxuriously
Toward rest and freedom.
Fall crunches vivid,
Harvests pies, thanks, disguise,
Sings cool honeyed release.
Winter twinkles paradox,
Promises to wrap us in clean hush
Tied up in playful glee.

Great strong verbs! Love “spring magics.” Fun look at the year.
Thanks! A version of that little part came to me while walking the dog and noticing the overnight blooming one spring morning. And yes, the verbs really helped me tighten it up! Originally, it was “Spring is a magician…”
“Promises to wrap us in clean hush”
Lovely.
Thanks, Patti. It was fun to write. <3
Such muscle in these verbs!
Favorite line: Winter twinkles paradox,
Thanks, Pam! 🙂
