Sunsetting
Soft nose nudge.
Lips wrap my fingers.
Wet velvet.
Snickering,
a one-eyed gelding
takes tall clover
from my hand.
We both lean
into the fence.

Beautiful moment captured!
This is lovely!
“snickering” is perfection
The poem reminds me of an old white horse in a pasture at the Horse Park. I love the “l” sounds in lips, velvet, gelding, tall clover, and lean.
Just beautiful. I especially like “wet velvet.” Perfect.
