The Cleanse
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a copper ten gauge
Has pots and kettles on a low boil
Mystery mason jars roiling on the shelves
Wise in the garden with weeds and herbs
Long blonde legs, habanero salsa
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a copper ten gauge
She puts me on a kidney cleanse, a seven day fast
All that you love must be put aside, baby
Meat dairy fish eggs tea coffee
Sugar alcohol chocolate and me
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a copper ten gauge
Rind of lemon in your left cheek, carrot in your right
Chew forty times,, spit in the jar, add marjoram cats claw comfrey root
Fennel chickory uvae versa gravel root marshmallow root
It’s bitter baby, drink it up
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a ten gauge
Then comes the colonic tonic
It’s a salt water flush with a rectal probe
An explosive expulsion, don’t leave the vacinity all day boy
You are reamed and I don’t mean maybe
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a ten gauge
At the end it’s a roll in the nettles
A soup and a salad of the same
A poke in the nest for the ground hornets
Stand still for a shower of stings
She’s a ten gauge
A live wire
She makes me feel good
Hot, a ten gauge

I didn’t know it was possible to make a cleanse poetic until now. This is incredible, Charlie. And I love “it’s a roll in the nettles” — just loaded with great lines.
Absolutely awesome !!!
I agree with Bill, didn’t know it was possible! Love the repetitive stanzas!
Love it! This would make a fantastic song! A lot of your poems could be set to music and be a greatest hit!
