The Feels, in Rhyme
Fear
is a running mouse across the kitchen floor.
Sad
is the long goodbye of loved ones at the door.
Anger
is the slowest car that I can’t stand today.
Joy
is a red balloon that quietly floats away.

The feels – yes! Great title – Love “Anger is the slowest car that I can stand today! – fresh.
Thank you!
I like how you have joy fading. What I like best is how you capture the way we can’t hold on to any emotion forever.
Is it funny I didn’t even realize I was saying that – I think it snuck in! It’s a comforting thought I keep though, the transience of feelings. Thank you Gaby!
I love the juxtaposition of the first 2 lines especially. It occurs to me that you could address these 4 “feels”each day, like a journal entry and have a new poem daily! Thanks for your poem!
I think you’re right! Thank you
i love the flow and relatable imagery
Thank you!
Lovely imagery!
Thanks!
I love the idea of addressing the feels. Everything in this poem is retreating, drifting away. It has a bit of a dirge quality. Good job!
I do love a dirge. Thank you!
