The Good Fight
When I think of life
I think of the fight
And how everyday
We have the choice to do right.
People hurry because of the word time,
Often compared to the symbol of the scythe.
But there’s nothing to rush ,
no reason to hide ,
Or moments will pass you by
And you’ll miss your chance to be alive

So very true. I lost a job last year, which was a blessing in disguise, because I learned how live life in the present better. This is something more people need to know.
Philip, I’m happy to hear that it worked out for you. It’s important to be malleable and appreciative .
I’m glad to see the subtle use of rhyme in this one.
What’s a poem without a little rhyme? I think it helps with flow
My daily poem was on this same topic – but one specific missed moment…
