There are things to say
The tree whose roots cannot reach
to the very center of the dark
earth
will never produce any branches
high enough for bright
winged
stars
to build nests from which to sing.
*AND this ….. how much I absolutely enjoy reading
all of your work, how amazed at your depth, how grateful.
How stunned at your glittering songs. How honored that we get to participate.
I hope you are blessed. See you next year.
thank you for sharing your poems.

The shape of the words and how perfectly they fit. What a creative and beautiful poem. Images flowed from my mind while reading. I have loved reading your poetry. They carry a beautiful depth. As well as the kind, thoughtful, and encouraging feedback you give. Until next time!
unforgettable packed image of roots to branches to stars–and all in the service of birds and poets
Crazy good, Coleman. You have EXPLODED this month, consistently writing some of the best stuff on here. Keep it going, buddy.
I’ve looked forward each day to reading your work. This one I want to print and frame. Thank you.
Hear that Coleman? You are printable and frameable? Seriously, you soared this month!
Preach it, Linda!
That question mark after frameable is supposed to be a period. Definitely a period. Period.
What an image! Simply striking.
And thank you for reading my work this June — it’s been a pleasure to read yours too!
Coleman;
you inspire
hope our paths cross this year,
like really not just virtually

I admire your work and your connection with and ability to talk about the natural world and it’s complexities. Looking forward to reading more of it soon.
