Things to Live For
The sound of rainfall.
The smell of yeast bread baking.
Ceiling fans, turning.

Simple things. I am longing now for the smell of yeast. We had the sound of rainfall off and on for a few hours yesterday, but I wouldn’t mind hearing it again today.
And poets for friends
Exactly!
Exactly!
You are right. Baking bread is magical. It is at the top of my list of mood boosters. And yes, let’s not forget the simple things.
Wonderful, the importance of small, simple things.
love the use of the comma to create some space before the word “turning.” makes me think of WCWilliams’ poems
Thanks, Gaby! You sure do have an eye for the details. I appreciate it.
Ahhhhh……the kigo ……ahhhhh.
Perfection !!!!!
That last line, with the comma, speaks volumes to me. That last word “turning” takes on more meanings.
I like the way you think, Karen.
Yes to all, but especially the bread!
Simple things, yes.
A poem we should all write every day
Trifecta of pleasures!
I like the way each appeals to different senses
