The second line is very nice and surprising!
I like this simple poem of regret. It reminds me of my own unintentional murders.
Twenty some years ago and I still feel the crunching sensation, the delayed processing of that image -the last time they saw anyone seeing them- is impressively vivid.
Bravo for conjuring so many potent points of that experience!
