Pill Bug City
“Pill Bug City”
she said with a smile.
Pill Bug City
raised under rock.
Roly-Poly Mayor
presides over here
Pill Bug City
Terrestrial town
Rocking, rolling,
metal munching
with cousins crayfish,
the crustacean crowd.
Party crashers,
she and I,
ready to roll regardless.

You’ve made the life under the rock into something new with fun imagery. Wonderful poem!
Thank you Bill! Now I want to illustrate it visually:)
I felt a deep connection to this. well done.
You must be a pill bug lover too!
I get a real Richard Scarry vibe from this. Thanks!
One of my favorites:) Thank you for commenting
Bronson!
I can see two tumble bugs rolling, upsidedownandbackward thanks to your words. They took me from beneath your rock to my farm life youth.
I think pill bugs are one of the first, if not the first bug I was interested in. Had to write about this experience with my daughter finding a huge amount (Pill Bug City)!
sooo cute!
