untitled
i dreamt of an abandoned building
raised in creek rock and left to rot.
the foundation was solid
but kudzu took the roof
and covered the windows.
vines and shade climbed three stories.
i was invited inside
massive Luna moths
dangled like chandeliers.
someone was brewing coffee.
and all the empty rooms buzzed
with desperate women dressed in white
looking to get shed of their men.

good poem
home run with the vernacular “shed”, where I live men walk the woods to find deer antlers,
say they’re going “shedding”, maybe women are better at it
I agree with Jim. The use of “get shed of” is good. It puts the building south of the river.
