Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings and poetry workshops.

Bio for 2019

Ashley Taylor is a special education teacher from Hindman, Kentucky. Her work has previously appeared in Hazard Community and Technical College’s literary magazine, Kudzu, and Full: An Anthology of Moon Poems. She was the student editor of Kudzu in 2007, and literally needed a Xanax to get up and speak in front of people about it. She has since evolved into a semi-competent public speaker.

Reason for signing up:

She gets considerably lazy on summer break and hopes that LexPoMo will lend her some motivation.
