Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings and poetry workshops.

Bio for 2021

T. Bartlett has loved writing for as long as she can remember. Some of her earliest memories include rhyming words on a small, handheld chalkboard. She’s had poetry published by The Voices Project, Kentucky State Poetry Society’s journal Pegasus, and SOS Art’s For a Better World 2020 and in the upcoming For a Better World 2021. She has some additional poetry as well as photography posted on her website at www.tanyabartlett.com. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends.

Reason for signing up:

I would like to be part of a community of poets and I would also like to continue pushing myself to write poetry on a daily basis.
