Bio for 2025

Samuel Collins Hicks is a journalist, poet, and Puchcart Prize nominated essayist living and working in downtown Lexington. He is a mental health and alcohol recovery advocate, celebrating four and a half years of sobriety. Sam loves cats and hates cops.

Reason for signing up:

I first participated in 2023, when I wrote 30 poems. Then in 2024 I wrote 30 poems. I'm an alcoholic, so now my choices are either to keep my perfect streak going, or die.
