I want to meet and learn from other writers

I signed up because I kind of left poetry for a while. I started a PhD program, got a new job, became a mom (twice over), and went through all there was to go through in the world from 2016 to now. I’m just beginning to remember my love for poetry and return to having it as a part of my life again. This seemed like a great place to start.

I have a collection I started in a class at UKy with Frank X Walker. We only had to submit 10 poems for the semester, and I really like the subject matter, so I want to get back to it. The topic is Lexington during Prohibition. The research is so much fun!

I write for a living so I find it hard to keep in touch with my poetry. Lex PoMo inspires me to dive back into it!
