Beautiful
Thank you!
I love you and love the power you’ve packed into two haunting lines here.
Aw, Misty…you are the best. I’m honored.
Multitudinous in its brevity!
Thank you Shaun!
I appreciate your courage to write a two line poem
That is actually a very inspiring comment!
Oh my goodness.
This is brilliant.
Hope this is a series and can’t wait to see what you do this year.
Happy LexPoMo.
I was toying with the idea of a series. But I won’t force myself. As of now it seems to be coming naturally. Thanks Tabitha! Also to those out there who feel like writing a poem is a big commitment, I’d like to encourage some ease and enjoyment!
High praise from Tabitha and that always feels good. Thank you so much, Friend! Yours was also very exciting and enthralling!
Way to start off. Short, sweet and full of punch!
Thank you Catherine 😊
I hope to match the poem, haha!
Always loved a good punch line…
This kind of makes me think of Ezra Pound’s “In a Station at the Metro” (but more surreal) in the sense that it packs so much into such a limited amount of space. Really cool!
Oooo, Thank you! I’m always happy to hear “surreal” applied to something I made. I loved your first poem too! Now I’m going to read this poem you mentioned!
Fantastic set of lines. Could very easily be the fabulous opening for a tome of poems. What’s more, coming from me (a person who can’t shut up when it comes to writing), I think it’s by far more difficult to write two weighty lines than any sprawling epic.
Thats so sweet of you to say! Of course your poetry is like a song of words and is it’s own form of difficulty. Yes, maybe it is harder, for me I mean. I certainly have to be surer of exactly what it is that I want to say. At the least it is a practical challenge that I’m enjoying!
