I miss even the harder things
And there is still
a family
Not here
but there was
once
I miss the
lemonade and
overeasy eggs
but I did
the squeezing
and the frying
I would do it again
if there were
people to do it
for
even when
I made
all my
own

This piece leaves me with so many questions and I love that about it. Reading it I thought the narrator was at the end of their years, and it made me smile to need to look you up and then find that you are at the beginning of yours.
I find myself wanting a whole collection to read about this narrator.
Thanks for this.
