This is an interesting one, considering all the different ways to interpret the word “rocked.”
Good to hear that!
thoughts of grief
Ahhh….yes…
What this sentence makes me think of? What inspired it? Whatever it was, perhaps it will yield more sentences.
Love your questions, Lee. What inspired it? Hard choices women make. Never easy no matter the direction for either mother or baby, ripples through a lifetime. It will yield more sentences.
I like this one because I like this one because I like…
I don’t know why
Maybe its this, expensive in the middle.
“sing your lullaby”
Whatever it is ❤️
Ahhhh, Coleman, “sing your lullaby” is expansive…glad you sensed that. You found the heart of the poem ♥️
I like this poem a lot, Pam. I can read it in different tones and the message shifts completely, and somehow feels the same. You are amazing!
❤️
My heart, so quickly rendered by your deep and compressed lines
❤️
I’m drawn to “when I am gone far from you.”
Nancy, so glad to hear this.
“when I am gone far from you.” was a gift while I worked the sentence. I had so much to say and so little words.
One can read this and put emphasis on different syllables to conjure up a meaning or two. Amazing how a few words can be so visual.
Thank you, Virginia!
these american sentences are wonderful
Thanks, Kris!
Wow! I’m just now boarding the train! I went back to catch up- what wonderful anticipation you build again this year. Yet each sentence speaks for itself- and all mirrors the passage of time so well. Today’s sentence, so tender and haunting.
Welcome aboard, Michele! Thank you for reading them!
I’m wondering now, if she’s rocking back and forth sort of humming this this in her head, but like others have commented, is thinking on something a little darker. I guess I’ll see as it unfolds… Well done, Pam, as usual!
😊
So much heart in this one. I’m hooked on your sentences, Pam.
Thanks, Elaine!
The sentence begs the question, to whom is the song addressed? I suspect we will hear more!!
