Deficiency
The sun comes up some-
where I can’t see it.
I track its movement
in the clouded skylight.
Management would never
give us clear ones; we
would fight like cats to
bask in the sunbeam.
My doctor says I should
get outside more, that
Vitamin D is a
precious commodity
I could get for free.
I ask her where I
could block that out of
my schedule between
overtime shifts and sleep
so I can take on more
overtime shifts. In winter,
I can watch the skylights
go from dark to light
back to dark in a day’s
shift, knowing what I’m
missing.

Terrific, Geoff!
Btw I guess you could transition into working construction, That would fix the problem 😉
Well done! sunlight’s a valued commodity!
Excellent, Geoff! (Do you work at Amazon?) Yes, get that vitamin D. D is the “carrier” for calcium. If you don’t have D, the calcium you ingest (food or supplements) doesn’t make it to your bones! D is also needed by your nervous system, and besides sunlight feeds the soul, does it not? (Do you want to walk my golden retrievers? LoL Just kidding. I need the exercise myself.)
