Glenn Gould
Anytime someone
Does something
I think only I do
I always think
They’re making fun of me.
Which I would welcome
If they’d let me in on the joke.
When you play Glenn Gould
Are you thinking,
“I bet that weird girl
Loves Glenn Gould “
Or not ?
I need to know, kind of.
There’s so few true coincidences.
When I hear his stuff
I always think
Of my old school
Or just schools, mostly.
I would need a past life regression
To know why.
I would need to believe in past lives.
I would need to believe in past life regression.
So, when you play certain stuff
Are you making fun of me or not ?

good poem, going to stop and read your others
this lyric about identity and acceptance seems not a black canvas but vibrant with a kind of uncertain hope
Thanks for the kind words, Jim.
just read all your poems backward to June 01
what a nice variety from the short lyric to longer prose poems, the way you mix visual art with the creative word adds texture,
very supportive comments from other poets are well deserved
Thanks !

I’m glad someone does !
Love this voice!!!
It’s just me ha
I’m dating the person I wrote this poem about now. Update: I never asked if it was a true coincidence
