Homecoming
I welcome you home
you’ve never lived here
I wonder now of what is to come
It is only here that I have always roamed
You are new, yet loved dear
I welcome you home
In the bathroom I know, there lives a new comb
You claim the bedroom so near
I wonder now what is to come
You reside under now, our roof, our dome
A presence not to fear
I welcome you home
We will now more quickly run out of soap, that foam
Slipping the slope beyond the clear
I wonder now what is to come
We now share the space in which I have grown
Looking through the same bathroom mirror
I welcome you home
I wonder now what is to come

I feel longing and suspense.
