Litany Of Lakes, Part 2
Chase Lake–
pines edge the shore.
Tea-colored water laps
cold against the dock. Fish nibble
my toes.
Morning
dawns cool, sunrise
lights treetops first, mirrors
them on water. Fish jumps, creates
ripples.
Rain falls,
pits lake surface.
Swimmers retreat inside.
Loon lands in our cove, tucks head, naps
afloat.

Not much is better than a litany of lakes. Love the meditative mood you create, the beauty you observe.
Thanks, Karen. Now I need to join up Litany of Lakes parts 1 and 2, and add in some other lakes I love. I think I could write my biography in lakes.
