Bio for 2021

Karen George, a native Kentuckian, has published five chapbooks and two poetry collections from Dos Madres Press: Swim Your Way Back (2014), and A Map and One Year (2018). She enjoys photography and visiting art museums, cemeteries, gardens, the woods, mountains, and historic river towns—particularly any place near a body of water.

Reason for signing up:

Because I’ve been writing a poem-a-day in June with other LEXPOMO poets since the beginning. I've always found it inspiring. Having a daily deadline is a good thing for me. I work well under pressure.

NOTE: Because poets have the ability to hide their badges and because registrations on LexPoMo.com only started in 2017, this may not represent an accurate portrayal of poems published by their associated poets, badges assigned to a poet, a poet's participation in the Writing Challenge, or anyone's relationship to Lexington Poetry Month, the Writing Challenge, or any other events, organizations, or persons.
