Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
Her memory tugged at her as she reached back to corral those days when things made sense as angels sang and hydrangea bloomed along the edge of her soul.
I love the use of the word corral– especially with the angels who sang.
Writing this comment made me catch a little wordplay! CHORAL/corral.
Those last two lines take the cake.
There is very deep meaning in your poem.
This one makes me feel bittersweet, longing for those simpler days when, as you said, things still made sense.
I too like the use of corral. I also like hydrangea!
Sweet: hydrangea bloomed
