Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
Shew!x5, Linda!
Especially love “roses in thunderstorms,”
I love this poem. The rose’s quiet presence in the thunderstorm is breathtaking. The softness and the fury existing together.
Breathtaking, surprising, and organic–with that LB twist. Love this haiku.
intense, a beautiful way to keep your mother present.
Perfect metaphor .
You, Laverne and me, all writing about our mothers today! Is it something in the water?
❤️ As they say , you can’t spell truth without Ruth. Wonderful honerific.
P.s. I really.like they way you did the title.
Such a great snippet of your mother.

Well said.
Linda, there are many reasons you are an award winning poet. This shows your skill at short form. Roses in thunderstorms, so powerful, thank you.
