the curtain of rain doubles as the rain and the curtain. vertical layers of rain
❤️
great images to evoke the state of mind
Thanks Mike!
Perfect reflection as I look out the window this morning. Love the image of the “sheer curtain.”
Thanks Virginia!
You add lightness to the grey day!
Thanks Sylvia!
and we can still see…..
Exactly, Laverne! Thanks for the reminder.
And you add to and arw part of our “whole” world.
Perfect.
Awww, Coleman! Did I ever tell you I like you a lot?
I love this kind of reflection. One of my favorite poems is by Anne Pence Davis (I cannot find it online and I have the book but that…would be an adventure to find right now) and it’s something like:
I watch bare winter trees
black arms pointing bleak sky
hating cold and nakedness as
I do.
(I’m very sure the lines are wrong) anyway your poem here gives me the same feeling this one does. I’m a fan!
Thanks Arwen!
Very nice, Kevin. The day’s weather is one of our great unknowns.
Thanks Nancy! And yes—as a subject it’s inexhaustible.
Kevin, you’re so good at making poems that feel like photographs.
Thanks Jeremy!
So evocative, Kevin. You are a master.
Thanks so much, Missy!
such a clear, poignant image
Thanks Kris!
Simply delicious, so much said in each word, especially brilliant showing passage of time “Whole days of rain”
an image that holds awe: “trees gone gray
behind a sheer curtain—”
Thanks Pam!
Resonant with sound and image. So well done, Kevin.
Thanks Karen!
