Snake tongue
I
Am the plant
in the foyer
That needs a little sun
That needs a little water
Low maintenance
And you
Are the man who
Sometimes
Remembers to water me
With the spray bottle
You keep beside me
Full of the stale water
Of your attention

love this!!
love the title juxtaposed with the acerbic wit of the poem… it bites. the last two lines blew me away.
Thank you both.
