Somewhere
From youth until now
was it just a dream
I know that I have travelled
not all was as it seemed
scars but not unraveled
continue on with me
Old patterns end
a broken machine
by the road
abandoned too
yet when I look down
I see each foot go forward
taking me somewhere
new

I loved wandering through this poem! Lovely.
Ann, there are some deep reflections at this stage of the STAGECOACH RIDE that is for sure! I seem to do alot more mental math adding up the illusion of time and wondering where the road will end . . . thus sparking the effervescent new beginning!
It reads almost like the second line–like a dream. I love the movement and journey you take us on.
