Split Sequence: After the Storm
a symphony
one drop on each
leaf of new cut grass
–a bright light
in maniacal bird song
in dew’s stillness
this perfect image–oh!
a small sun turning
as dawn rises
a red bird flits
to power line’s wobble
still singing

This one is lovely! I can so very clearly see each small scene in my mind. And I love the way each sequence reads both together and on their own.
Thank you L.
Lol….a lot ..that took a little shiffling
A moment in nature- great form that imitates a bird’s flight.
Linda , thank.you for saying that.
Yay !!! It worked 😀
Man, Coleman! You own this form!
Thanks Jeremy. I’m starting to get the feel for it…you know….its the whole 10k hours thing. Lolol….feels.like it anyway .
Thanks for that.
This poem breathes sound and image.
Especially love ” in dew’s stillness
this perfect image–oh!
a small sun turning ”
And big fan of “–oh!”
“A symphony of nature. ” I love using nature as the subject and backdrop for my poems. Well done!
love the imagery in the last stanza
There’s a lot working in harmony in this one, Coleman. Very nice. Form and function are tops.
“maniacal bird song” take me away! Poems definitely relay the re-settling of the world after a storm.
