summer and its vagueness
summer
and its vagueness
starts and stops
endless days, sunlight
thoughts, plans, actions
rest
yet harder work than ever
it seems so, anyway
will I ever see someone again who I cared for
hear from a friend
wear a dress to work now that everything has changed
the absences
voices not heard
answers though, solidly placed upon me
freedom is saying “thanks but no thanks”
not stopping to imagine what if
this morning I am truly content
despite not knowing what is beyond
June, July, August
today’s dictionary tells me ambiguity equals
joy

for me the vagueness stems from having so many choices
