That Guy
There’s always that guy
Who tells you
What to wear to look better
Your poem is not a poem
Your argument lacks profundity
To stop eating carbs to lose weight
Why you won’t win your case
Where you should put
the sofa
the landscaping
your mouth
When you should
eat
fast
come
stay
go.
There’s always that guy.
I’m so tired of him.

Love this!
Thanks Linda! You’ve been doing some great work here. Happy Bday to Clancy!
I hear you, Pam!
I love your poem too—thank goodness no one around like that for me these days—but I think I hear traces of “that guy” in the loud guys hanging out on the street in my neighborhood….
Thanks for writing!
Thanks! Actually it’s inspired by a guy on #lexpomo that is mansplaining everyone’s poems. Hope he doesn’t try that here.
Wow—that is really sad to hear—have not encountered that—But ! you transformed the events of the day into art—you win!
I know him!
