Time for Art Class
Time for Art Class
Envy of all my classmates.
Draw something we saw
on our way to school
this morning. I passed by
an orchard. “Granny
Smith Apple Green”
to color the ripened fruit.
Nothing too dark.
Someone else looks
for the right shade.
I offer to share my colors.

Dennis, I have this image in my mind that you really are sitting at home with a box of crayons, and when it comes time to write the day’s poem, you pick a crayon at random, and you’re like “oh, I’m writing about Granny Smith Apple Green today. How delightful!”
Regardless, I am enjoying your use of colors in these!
Yes, I do have a box of 64 Crayola Crayons. The colors, however, are not chosen at random, at least not yet. I’m glad you’re enjoying the poems. I have a somewhat complete story that I’m working toward.
