when ya got nothin to say
My beds unmade
My dishes ain’t clean
The cats are jumping
On the washing machine
My sink done broke
The weeds are high
My lawn needs mowin
And the well went dry
My basements flooded
The car broke down
My tires went flat
My water turned brown
My zipper got stuck
My pants got tore
A button fell off
There ain’t no more

I love this Anne. It’s hard to get away with rhyming these days but this poem is so perfect in tempo that these very inventive and funny rhymes are work beautifully. Well done.
Why thank you – I truly had nothing to say!
Good one!
Thanks!
Love it! Rhyme away.
Thank you! I’m trying – not written poetry before – not sure what I am doing!
I had to read this out loud to family. One said “playful,” the other “what fun!” I’m looking forward to the next one!
oops.
