Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings and poetry workshops.

Bio for 2020

Abra McCurry is a cat🐈 lover who loves to read and play with her dog Wicket🐶 and her hamster Alexander Hamsterton🐹. She also loves to write and play video games. But she loves her family, friends, and pets the most. She lives in Lexington KY and has two houses full of pets (5 cats Sila, Fada, Pudden, Scardy, and Scraggs. 3 dogs: Merry, Pippen, and Wicket. 2 hamsters: Chaussette (socks in french) and Alexander Hamsterton (known as Alex or Alexander Hamilton)). She is also a brave girl 😈

Reason for signing up:

Because I love poems and when I think of too many I get a headache.
