Melissa Helton lives, teaches, and writes in southeast Kentucky. Her work has been published, or is forthcoming, in Shenandoah, Still: The Journal, Anthology of Appalachian Writers, and more. Her chapbooks include Inertia: A Study (2016) and Hewn (Dec. 2021).
