Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings and poetry workshops.

Bio for 2024

My name is Lauren Holbrook and I am 35 years old. I am the mother of 2 teenagers, and I have custody of my niece. My children are my world. I love spending time with my family, reading, and enjoying the small things in life.

Reason for signing up:

I love to write and it's a way to express myself. I have recently started writing again and found the joy I once had writing my thoughts down.
