Angel eggs
The first time she called our beloved deviled eggs
this I asked if it was a new recipe.
No, I just don’t like using the word ‘devil’.

Very interesting, and a good deep dive into politics with very few words.
Thank you. I feel this. My intersections in to certain treatments for medical survival’s sake enter me into many ugly inhumane political groupthink spaces where people don’t know the boundaries of medical necessity vs conspiracy propaganda, and it is so difficult. We who are conscientious with our words think about verbalizing concepts like “devil”. Thank you for honoring the words even when it bites you to do so. That’s brave work.
Well.put together poem.
It really resonated with me.
So many, …
Gone.
It still hurts to watch them go.
yes- we had been friends for over 30 years
P.S. Also, just incredibly badass craft work.
thanks
Echo all that others have said. Love the shape of this poem and how white space causes me to see the stark truth.
This poem has the capacity to take me in many different directions. I need only choose.
Intriguing and provocative work. Well done!
Linda, great metaphors with a powerful message!
I enjoyed this poem.
She doesn’t always know a devil when she sees one…
You never know where deviled eggs can lead! Mine have too much paprika to be angelic! Get your politics on!
