poems are floating through the air
each year / i wonder / if i’ll see them /
in the current / golden threads /
of dust and light / a poem
calling out / poems /
in the stone birdbath / chirruping / hello /
a stranger / from two counties over /
& still / it reaches /
& still each june / they come / again /
poems / little ribbons / i cannot touch /
catching wing / making a path / to
where i am / even here / in my empty
/ chest / of poems / i leave / my line /
in the current / poems /
threads tense and / slack /
the air
It’s a priveledge and pleasure to share this time and space with you all each June. Looking forward to 2027 already!

Isn’t that just exactly how it is. Thank you for this. Sent you an email when you have a moment.
Beautifully put.
Peace be with you, and all the blessed insects who get to be in your threads.
Beautiful. Such a lovely statement about poems and this shared experience!

calling out / poems /”
See you next year 💜

A beautiful, lyrical reflection on poems/space/threads. Love “a poem calling out.” The poetry called out to all of us this June. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely. See you next year, friend.
Nothing in this poem feels like an ending, but more a continued connection of hearts and words! Your work is always a revelation to me. Thank you, Shaun.
What a beauty of a poem to end on. I can’t wait to read your poems in 2027. Take care, Shaun.
“I leave / my line / in the current”- what a stunning image. This whole piece is pure gold. Like all of yours have been. And again, I have enjoyed your poetry this month. 💙✨
This poem is like a gentle wind in the wind chimes. Just beautiful! I love reading your work:
in the current / golden threads /
of dust and light / a poem
Shaun — This is lovely, and it captures what we’ve experienced all this month. I really like looking at poetry this way. Thank you, and know that I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read of your other poems. Your voice is both strong and discerning.
See you soon at Kenwick.
A beautiful insight into the art and craft of poetry here! Thanks, Shaun!

I love this poem about poems…your choice of words are so perfectly considered— people, places, things, a twist, a turn..seemingly disconnected yet together they all are floating in a beautiful consciousness…writing this poem! Thank you!.
