Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings and poetry workshops.

Bio for 2023

Kate is a high school English teacher in Lexington, KY. She is a lifelong Central KY native, having lived there since she was 5 and continuing to live there to this day. She loves books, cats, her husband, and all matter of the spooky and macabre. She hopes to one day fulfill the lifelong joke of becoming "Dr. Doctor" and publish a piece of work of her own.

Reason for signing up:

I wanted to do something a bit out of my comfort zone! I figured this could be fun!
